Hi, I'm Thais!
My passion for working with children and adolescents started long before I became a social worker. I've always been drawn to supporting young people as they navigate life's challenges and discover their strengths. That passion led me to earn my Master of Social Work from the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) and pursue a career helping youth and families.
I believe therapy should be a space where you don't have to have everything figured out. While therapy provides space for growth and healing, humor can also be a powerful tool for coping, connection, and finding light during difficult moments. I strive to create a warm and supportive environment where you feel comfortable showing up exactly as you are.
I am passionate about helping people develop practical tools they can use in their everyday lives. By using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I work with clients to better understand the connections among their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and to build healthy coping skills that support lasting growth and resilience.
