I am Sophia Palen, a Licensed Social Worker whose passion lies in supporting youth who have been system-involved or engaged in at-risk behaviors, guiding them toward a healthier, more positive path. I am deeply committed to helping these individuals recognize their potential and develop the skills and resilience needed to become the best version of themselves.
My goal is to empower young people to overcome challenges, build confidence, and create a foundation for a successful and fulfilling adulthood by offering you a supportive and compassionate environment where we can collaborate on achieving your personal goals. Whether you're working through challenging relationships or seeking strategies to manage emotions, I strive to help you connect with your inner strengths and build the tools needed to navigate and cope with difficult emotions.
I have previous experience working in juvenile detention centers, QRTP programs, IOP and various other youth organizations.
My experience is built on working collaboratively with clients to process symptoms related to PTSD, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, self-esteem, peer-pressure, gang involvement and a variety of life changes. My approach is strengths-based, utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, trauma-informed and/or motivational interviewing to help you develop the skills to manage whatever you’re going through. I look forward to working together!
