My name is Nicolas Sanders (Nick), and I am from Sandersville, GA. I was blessed to earn a football scholarship to attend Mars Hill University in Mars Hill, NC, where I obtained my bachelor’s degree in social work. After graduation, I decided Tulane School of Social Work was the best fit for me to continue my growth in becoming the best clinician I can be. Once I earned my MSW, I started working as a School Social Worker in the schools, working in jails with inmates, and working in the community-based sector with at-risk youth while in New Orleans, LA. Currently, I am continuing to engage in working with youth, adolescents, and young adults in Colorado.
I am excited to be able to meet you where you are and assist you in growing and developing into the best version of yourself. My goal from day one will be to empower you and to challenge you to chase your dreams daily through setting realistic goals, managing emotions in a safe and appropriate way, and overcoming hardships. My favorite modalities to use are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy, Crisis Intervention, and Functional Family Therapy. My favorite hobbies are to engage in reading, exploring nature, watching and playing football, playing video games, watching movies, and traveling.
