Welcome! My name is Mali and I am a Licensed Professional Counseling Candidate (LPCC) in Colorado. My passion lies in working with kids, teens, and young adults who have struggled to feel success in the circumstances of their life. With the motto, “you can’t hate yourself into mental health,” my approach focuses on addressing the pain you are experiencing so we can work together to create a life that just hurts less. I have experience using evidence-based practices to help with trauma, anxiety, depression, dissociation, neurodivergence, and personality disorders. I work with my clients to try and look at what the function may be of whatever you are struggling with and use unconditional acceptance to try and create a space where desired change can occur. We can’t move forward until we accept where we are at and what got us here.
I strongly believe that counseling should always be a space that is explicitly LGBTQ+ and gender affirming, neurodivergent and disability conscious, and honors each person's cultural background as well as their individual relationship to it. The counselor's role is to continue growing in these spaces to ensure the safety of each client in the counseling space. Your journey is yours, and the counselor is there to collaborate with you on how to help you gain more access to yourself. The goal is that we believe together in who you are, and who you will become.
