Welcome! My name is Jaela, and I am a Licensed Professional Counseling Candidate with over eight years of experience working with children, young adults, and their families. I strive to help each individual find their own unique toolkit of coping skills that uses their specific experiences, emotions, and beliefs to maximize their quality of life. Everyone's journey is different, and everyone deserves a chance to be the best they can be, no matter their current situation or diagnosis. I utilize different evidence-based modalities and techniques based on the client's wants and needs, creating a unique individualized plan to match each person's unique journey.
I have experience working with a wide range of clients, including but not limited to those navigating depression, anxiety, addiction/recovery, trauma, difficulties with peers, life changes, family changes, and self-esteem. I utilize therapeutic approaches such as play therapy, mindfulness, empathetic understanding, acceptance, and seeking congruence between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Everyone's unique journey matters, and you don't have to face it alone!
