Hello, I’m Haoran.
I’m originally from China, and my journey into counseling has been deeply shaped by living and learning across cultures. Moving from East Asia to the United States has given me a firsthand understanding of what it means to navigate between different values, communication styles, and ways of understanding the self. This experience continually informs my work as a therapist—I approach each client with openness, curiosity, and respect for the unique cultural stories that shape who they are.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in General Psychology from Colorado State University and later completed my Master’s in Counseling Psychology at the University of Denver. Through this journey, I have learned to bridge Eastern and Western perspectives on healing and personal growth, integrating both introspective reflection and practical, evidence-based methods.
In therapy, I take an integrated approach that draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Client-Centered Therapy, Existential Therapy, and Relational approaches. I see therapy as a collaborative and human process—one where we explore your experiences, thoughts, and emotions in a safe, nonjudgmental space.
While I value structure and theory, I also recognize that sometimes, therapy doesn’t need to be complicated. Sometimes, healing begins simply with being seen and heard. Whether you are seeking clarity, growth, or just needing a pair of listening ears, I’m here for you.
