LSW
5-24
Hi there! I’m Emma, a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) with experience working in Chicago Public Schools in the Oak Lawn area as a play based therapist and in a hospital setting providing crisis intervention. I am passionate about supporting individuals through challenging moments while helping them recognize their strengths and move toward their personal goals.
My approach to therapy is centered on goals and strengths. I believe that each person already has the capacity for growth, and my role is to help guide and support that process in a way that feels meaningful and empowering. I strive to create a space that feels safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental, where you can feel comfortable exploring your experiences and working through challenges at your own pace.
I have experience working with youth and individuals navigating emotional, behavioral, and situational stressors, and I value building strong, trusting relationships with those I work with. Whether you are facing a difficult transition or looking to better understand yourself, I aim to meet you where you are and support your progress forward.
Outside of my work, I enjoy spending time creating art and gardening. I also love spending time with my four rescue dogs and my partner exploring nature and finding our next big adventure!
I look forward to the opportunity to work with you and support you in reaching your goals.
