Hello, my name is Chaunice Morgan. I recently graduated from University of Denver with my master’s in mental health counseling in 2025. Before earning my degree I worked in childcare for over five years. I enjoy working with children and becoming a youth therapist is what I’ve wanted to be since high school. Before moving to Denver in 2023, I lived in Missouri and Hawaii, and I consider both places home.
My therapy approaches include person-centered therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and play therapy. While play therapy is usually geared towards our younger children, I learned how beneficial play can be for all ages. With play having a broad definition, there is a lot of flexibility with play therapy.
I believe therapy is a collaboration between the client and therapist. I would like to walk beside you as you show me your path of life.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy listening to music, hanging out with friends, and lounging around the house. I also enjoy going to concerts, and recently went to see my favorite band! I believe in early intervention and “it takes a village”. Mental health care should be accessible to everyone. The youth are our future and I simply enjoy conversing and learning from them. I am excited to bring openness and advocacy to your therapy journey!
