LSW
5-24
Hi! My name is Ally Meisner and I am a licensed social worker (LSW). I earned my bachelor’s degrees in Integrative Physiology and Psychology from the University of Colorado Boulder. I then went on to complete my Master’s degree in Social Work at the University of Kentucky, where I also earned a Trauma-Responsive Practice certificate. During my graduate program, I was a member of two honor societies.
I have experience working with children and adolescents on the autism spectrum through applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy, as well as supporting children with a variety of disabilities and neurodevelopmental conditions, including ADHD, in school settings.
I am especially interested in working with neurodiverse children and teens, as well as individuals living with chronic illness or chronic pain. I focus on the mind-body connection and the ways physical health can impact emotions, daily functioning, and quality of life. I also recognize the challenges that can come with navigating healthcare systems, relationships, and everyday expectations while managing a chronic condition.
My approach emphasizes building independence, strengthening coping skills, and incorporating trauma-responsive care tailored to each client’s needs. Outside of work, I enjoy baking, spending time with my family, and being outdoors. I also love anything creative and find that it’s an important part of how I recharge.
I look forward to meeting you and supporting you in working toward your goals!
