Hey! My name is Adam Bobinski and I am a licensed clinical professional counselor candidate hailing from the big sky of Montana. I have lived and worked here my entire life. I received my Master's in the Science of Clinical Mental Health Counseling degree from the University of Providence in Great Falls. My experiences include working with many different populations of clients, ranging from individual counseling with kids, teens and older adults, to working in Moral Reconation Therapy groups. I have also run substance use processing groups and anger management groups in both in person and telehealth settings. Helping individuals; especially teens and young adults, has been my most rewarding experience. As we navigate the human condition, we all encounter difficulties from time to time such as depression, anxiety, trauma, social and relationship issues, substance use, life improvement goals, and grief.
My approach to helping others is rooted in Humanistic and Client Centered approaches. We are all humans, and as such we are allowed to make mistakes or feel like we are not 'well' enough in our lives and pursue a path of making our lives better in the ways that we wish. Utilizing a needs-based approach will helps clients to identify areas of lacking and the areas where we are secure and comfortable. This comfort and security can give clients a safe net of mental relief to work on the areas where they feel they can improve. In a Client Centered approach, the primary goal is to be non-judgemental and assuring you that your thoughts and feelings are valid and will not be judged. This ensures you can feel comfortable within the therapy setting in order to enter a working partnership with me so we can find solutions, tools and strategies to combat whatever issues you may be seeking relief from. In addition to these approaches, I incorporate elements of other approaches such as Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Dialetical Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy and of course, Cognitive Behavior Therapy.
